cd eject on boot
Command-E (meta-E) doesn't work if no CD is in the tray, and there is no hardware button on the tower to eject the tray -- the only way to open it appears to be to use the special "CD-eject" button on the Mac keyboard. Is that possible? I'ma Mac novice, so suggestions for a workaround would be very welcome!

CD eject at shut down
I am using the Adaptec Easy CD Creator software that was pre-installed (Version 4.0 updated to Version 4.05). Whenever I make a CD through either Direct CD or Easy CD Creator the program works fine until I try to eject the CD. Neither the software eject nor the manual eject will eject the CD.

I asked this same question in the windowsme.general group about a week ago but got no responses. I have a fairly new Gateway running WinME and Office97. Every time I hit the eject button on the CD, Excel closes, or starts to close, if there are modified files. Anybody experience this? -- Jordon.
